After the president’s recent speech to Congress, much was said about the despicable response of those on the left. When politicians refuse to stand or clap for or treat with any sort of respect those who have gone through very difficult situations, it makes you wonder what makes them tick. We addressed these matters in a previous article, but there are additional things that come to mind when we consider the current state of the Democratic Party.
What can we say about the majority of today’s democrats, at least at the national level? If they cannot acknowledge a young boy who has survived brain cancer, if they cannot show compassion for families who have experienced incomprehensible pain, if they are so determined to walk in lockstep even if it causes them to behave in ways that are clearly inhumane, what does this say about democrats (and some republicans) themselves?
WHAT CAN WE SAY ABOUT THE LEFT?
1. Among the left, there is no room for independent thought.
Evident for years is the fact that democrats work as a team. There is, of course, a commendable aspect to this, for we do indeed need to get along sufficiently in order to collectively achieve anything.
This can be taken to an extreme, however, when we fail to reckon with legitimate differences of opinion about this or that. We don’t always share the same views, afterall, and sometimes it helps to consider our choices in light of what others see.
When forced unanimity occurs, there is a tendency to stifle ingenuity, creativity, and the wisdom. Though getting along is a wonderful ideal, this “getting along” can degenerate into meaningless susceptibility to manipulation if we ignore the insights of others. Though it is paramount that leaders work toward agreeable solutions, this can only take place if individual leaders are allowed to ask their questions and state their positions.
Among democrats this has been largely stifled as there is more of a collective effort to power grab than a desire to arrive at sound conclusions. Though it is more difficult to discuss various angles on a subject, it usually leads to solutions that are governed by common sense. If you support the progressive agenda, therefore, you are likely hindering imagination and human acuity. Many of the extremists viewpoints of the far left are a result of disallowing independent thought.
2. Leftists lack courage.
When democrats behave as they often do, it indicates that there is indeed a cowardice that permeates many a representative. No one is pretending that leadership is easy or that there are no risks politically in rejecting the common narrative. Leadership, however, demands such courage.
Whatever the particular forces at work, the nearly universal embrace of lunacy surely indicates that those who succumb to obvious insanities are lacking the wherewithal that the people, the constitution, and God demand of those claiming to represent the people.
3. Leftists are contolled by those truly calling the shots, who actually create the agreeable liberal “consensus.”
During Covid, there was talk of “consensus,” and a common theme of progressives was that there was agreement among scientists that Covid was dangerous for children, lockdowns were necessary, masks and social distancing worked, vaccines were safe and effective, natural immunity was not as strong as vaccine induced immunity, and alternative treatments like hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin were useless. What we discovered early on, however, was that each of these claims was invalid and the so-called consensus was in error. To a large extent, the reason for this was due to the concerted endeavor by the deep state and propagators of the accepted narrative to dismiss, shame, and cancel those with varying opinions. In other words, the “consensus” in this case was false, and the real culprit in the Covid catastrophe was a group of far-left movers and shakers who orchestrated the strategy that did so much harm to our country.
In other words, the one-size fits all strategy, the program that pushed all desenters out of the way, was not based on the cumulative wisdom provided by independent thinkers but by a powerful group that forced its agenda on everyone. This is always the result when you choke off individual opinions and freedom in favor of the superior views of the self proclaimed experts. The people truly pulling the strings during the pandemic came from one side only (the one that punished dissidents) and this yielded much damage across the globe.
Similarly, as we analyze the typical unity of thought (at least publicly) among leftists leaders, we must conclude that some great and overarching stratagem must be in place, some dominating groupthink . . . in other words, a deep state. What this means for us is that when we notice the “walk in unison” practice of the far left, this indicates that some amalgamating force, some controlling operation, some invisible (to us) group is driving this “unity.” It is important to recognize that when we hope for democrats to come our way (along with far too many Republicans), we are asking them to defy the deep state.
4. Leftists are rarely held accountable to their constituents.
Someone is calling the shots, the slaves of the deep state are complying, and the citizens are not helped and often hurt. This is what socialism and Marxism produce. This is what weak people on the right allow.
We know that many politicians on both the left and the right have benefited from their positions of delegated authority. The voters put representatives in place, and all too often these leaders benefit personally while pushing an unchallenged radical ideology that ignores the voice of the people who place them in office. The left represents a mindset of conformity that is less concerned with positive outcomes and seemingly dominated by self-interest and the governance of largely hidden influencers.
THE POINT
The behavior displayed the other night was symptomatic of what we regularly observe among democrats and compromising republicans. Clearly, we have a group of representatives who don't represent their constituents so much as they represent themselves and those who pull the strings in Washington.
Democratic leaders at the national level refuse to think independently, lack courage, bow to those who actually possess authority (i.e., deep state actors), and lack any sort of accountability to the people.
If we want to grasp what is taking place around us, if we hope to understand what we’re dealing with, it will be imperative to notice the tendencies of those who pose a danger to our country. The antics we observed during Trump’s speech, more than simply enraging, are instructive, providing lessons from the fringe.

➡ RESPONDING TO WAYWARD LEADERS (THE THREE Rs) —
1. REPENTANCE — demanding genuine and unambiguous change from failed leaders.
2. REPLACEMENT — in the absence of genuine repentance, replacing weak and faulty leaders with those who embrace our worldview and will represent us faithfully.
3. RESTORATION — advocating for values that reflect our founding principles, which includes supporting candidates who exude these qualities.
